Ferrari at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Prancing Horse is taking part in the 30th edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th July. One of the stars of the event will be the Ferrari 499P, the Hypercar that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and collected five podiums in as many races of the FIA WEC 2023, which will be exhibited together with other cars that have written the history of the Maranello company. Ferrari will also be displaying a variety of cars from the F1 Clienti and XX Programme, alongside several examples from the current road car range, including the Daytona SP3, SF90 Spider, 812 Competizione, 296 GTS and the Ferrari Roma.

Hypercar. It is destined to attract the attention of the British public, who will be able to admire it live for the first time on British soil, the 499P protagonist of an exciting season in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The red hypercar with yellow stripes and details - the livery is a tribute to that of the 312 PB that competed in the early 1970s - will be at the centre of a static exhibition in the area dedicated to the Ferraris that have competed at Le Mans signing memorable pages in endurance racing.

In addition to the 499P, the Ferrari - AF Corse team will be represented by three official drivers, Britain's James Calado and Italy's Antonio Giovinazzi (who compete in the World Championship in car number 51, together with Alessandro Pier Guidi) and Spain's Miguel Molina (who last weekend, together with Antonio Fuoco and Nicklas Nielsen, finished second in the Monza 6 Hours in car number 50).

The public will be able to photograph the 'queen' of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and admire the trophy awarded to the winning manufacturer in the centenary edition. A precious and imposing cup that has enriched the trophy cabinet of the Maranello company: just think that the same one, made of bronze, is 1.5 metres high and weighs 70 kilograms.

Prototypes. In addition to the latest Hypercar, the 'Ferrari Le Mans Cars' area will be graced by six other historic racing cars in the Ballroom Paddock, including the 166 MM, the first Ferrari to win at Le Mans (1949); two Ferrari 250 TRs (Testa Rossa) including the 250 TR/58 model that won at the Circuit de La Sarthe in 1958; the 275 P first across the line in 1964; the Ferrari 512 S prototype that competed in the World Championship in 1970; and the 1979 512 BB LM.

Completing this area is the display of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale in Le Mans livery, the hybrid super sports car with a 780 bhp V8 mated to a triple electric unit producing a total of 220 bhp and sporting a bodywork directly emanating from the one brought to the track by the 499P.
