This date has gone down in history. Fifty years after its last appearance in the top endurance class at the Circuit de La Sarthe, the Ferrari – AF Corse team claimed victory with the 499P number 51 crewed by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.

The second part of the episode takes a behind-the-scenes look at round four of the 2023 FIA WEC, focusing on the excitement of the drivers, the Italian team and the fans who attended the event over Saturday and Sunday. It begins in the hours before the Hypercars lined up in first and second position on the grid with the 499P number 50 of Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, and the number 51, respectively.

Episode four of The Red Line doesn’t stop with the two Ferrari Hypercars’ triumphant arrival at the finish line and lap of honour when the 325,000 spectators in the grandstand applauded the 499Ps. The story continues with the podium celebration when to the strains of the Italian national anthem Antonello Coletta, Global Head of Endurance and Corse Clienti, Pier Guidi, Calado and Giovinazzi held the 24 Hours of the Centenary trophy aloft. In the words of President John Elkann, “This has been an unforgettable day that I’d like to dedicate to everyone at Ferrari”; The party was shared with clients at Casa Ferrari, when tears of joy were mixed with the pride of everyone in attendance.

The story includes the parade and celebration at Maranello when, nine days after the track exploits, the employees of the company founded in 1947 and fans from Italy and around the world could admire the cars returned from Le Mans first hand.

The next episode of the web series will chronicle the Monza 6 Hours, round five of the World Endurance Championship, held on 9 July.
