North America played host to the first overall victory for the Ferrari 499P number 83 in the Giallo Modena livery. It was first across the line in the Lone Star Le Mans, the sixth round of the FIA WEC 2024, in a Sunday topped off by third place for the 499P number 50. You can relive the event in the United States thanks to the new chapter of “Full Access: The Red Line”, the series available on Ferrari’s YouTube channel which reveals previously unseen scenes and footage.
1 September 2024 was a historic day, which will go down in the annals of the Maranello-based manufacturer: for the first time, Ferrari secured victory in two races in two world championships in the same day. The celebrations at the Circuit of the Americas, with official drivers Yifei Ye and Robert Shwartzman, alongside Robert Kubica, on the top step of the podium, followed just a few hours after Scuderia Ferrari’s great victory in the Formula 1 Italian GP, with Charles Leclerc acclaimed by the fans at Monza.
“Full Access: The Red Line” recounts the story of the entire endurance event weekend, giving viewers the chance to go behind the scenes of a race that attracted 65,089 spectators over the course of the weekend.
Starting with the drivers’ arrival in Texas alongside the entire official Ferrari – AF Corse and AF Corse teams and the first sessions on the track, the adrenaline and emotions build as the 6 Hours culminate first in Antonio Giovinazzi’s pole position in the 499P number 51 – which was later forced to retire in the race – and then in the grand finale with the Prancing Horse taking centre stage to round off the weekend with a victory and a third podium finish.
