Ferrari 499Ps at Imola for round two of 2025 FIA WEC

Maranello, 9 April 2025 - The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola will welcome the Ferrari 499Ps for the second round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship. Fifty-one days after the season opener contested in Qatar – which ended with a historic 1-2-3 for the Maranello manufacturer’s Hypercars – the world championship now has an Italian leg with the 6 Hours of Imola on Sunday, 20 April, with the green flag at 1 p.m. local time.

The track, inaugurated in 1953, will host a second consecutive FIA WEC round. The event will feature 18 Hypercars in the top class and an equal number of LMGT3 machines – all challenging each other on the undulating layout of the track in Emilia-Romagna.

The Maranello-based manufacturer returns to the spotlight after its victory at the Qatar 1812 km with the number 50 499P – crewed by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen – and third place with the other car, number 51, fielded by the official Ferrari – AF Corse team and driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi, who also took pole position at Lusail. The privateer AF Corse team’s 499P number 83, with Ferrari official driver Yifei Ye alongside Robert Kubica and Phil Hanson, finished second in Qatar.

The standings. Following the results of the season opener, Ferrari appears in Italy leading the FIA Hypercar World Manufacturers’ Championship standings with 66 points. Fuoco-Molina-Nielsen top the Drivers’ standings with 38 points, ahead of Ye-Kubica-Hanson and Pier Guidi-Calado-Giovinazzi, who trail by 11 and 14 points, respectively. AF Corse also leads the FIA World Cup for Hypercar Teams, which is open to independent entrants.

The programme. The action on the track kicks off on Friday, 18 April, with two 90-minute free practice sessions at 11.15 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. On Saturday, 19 April, a third free practice session will run from 10.40 to 11.40 a.m., followed by Hypercar qualifying at 3.10 p.m. and the Hyperpole session at 3.30 p.m. The 6 Hours of Imola starts at 1 p.m. on Sunday, 20 April (all times local).
