An iPod may be connected directly to the audio system using its own interface and without any additional modification to the infotainment system. This means that its functions such as playlist management, skip tracks and shuffle may be controlled simply and directly from the radio display. The connector cable is situated in the dashboard glove compartment. When connected, the iPod is also charged by the electrical system of the vehicle. The connection is compatible with all versions of iPod, iTouch and iPhone.
