Ferrari receives awards for endurance success in 2023

The traditional evening in the Sala delle Armi at the Foro Italico in Rome yesterday saw the award of Autosprint’s Caschi d’Oro and ACI’s Volanti for the 2023 season. Ferrari received awards for its outstanding victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and prestigious results in the FIA WEC. The awards were collected by Antonello Coletta, Global Head of Endurance and Corse Clienti, and drivers Alessandro Pier Guidi, Antonio Giovinazzi, and Antonio Fuoco, stars of the year with the 499P of the Ferrari – AF Corse team. 

Caschi d’Oro. In the presence of Angelo Sticchi Damiani, president of the Automobile Club d’Italia, and Andrea Cordovani, editor-in-chief of Autosprint, the event featured Alessandro Pier Guidi and Antonio Giovinazzi, the drivers of the 499P number 51 who climbed the top step of the podium in the fourth event of the World Endurance Championship season along with James Calado. Teammate Antonio Fuoco, who took pole positions at Sebring and Le Mans in car number 50, was with them. The drivers collected Autosprint’s Caschi d’Oro for their achievements, while Antonello Coletta picked up the Casco d’Oro awarded to the Ferrari – AF Corse team.

Volanti ACI. The team involved in the World Endurance Championship received the ACI Volante d’Oro for their victory in the Centenary edition of the world’s most famous endurance race, which gave the Maranello marque its tenth overall win on the La Sarthe circuit, half a century after it last competed in the top class and 58 years after its previous triumph. Coletta, Pier Guidi and Giovinazzi received the awards on stage.

Other awards. Giancarlo Fisichella, the Maranello manufacturer’s Ambassador Driver, and Tommaso Mosca received an award from ACI for their victory in the Italian GT Endurance Championship; his career achievements also earned the driver from Rome the Autosprint Casco Legend. Special awards also went to Marco Pulcini and Eddie Cheever III, winners of the International GT Open Pro-Am class title in the Ferrari 296 GT3.
