On its debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship 2023, the Ferrari 499P will be partnered by Sabelt. The Turin-based company will supply the fireproof technical clothing for the drivers and team, plus the seatbelts for the two Hypercars with which the Prancing Horse will return to the top class of the World Endurance Championship half a century after its last appearance.
The historic Piedmontese brand’s logo will appear on the livery of the 499P number 50, crewed by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, and the number 51 car, driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.
To ensure the highest levels of safety and comfort, Sabelt will support the Maranello manufacturer’s Hypercar project with customised technical clothing and seatbelts developed using the latest technology. The Ferrari - AF Corse team will have two types of driving suits – for testing and racing – whose style and colours reflect the livery of the car that will compete in the FIA WEC, along with a specially developed and customised shoe for each driver.
The Ferrari 499P will make its race debut at the 1000 Miles of Sebring (8 Hours) in Florida on Friday, 17 March, with a 12 p.m. (local time) start.
