Shell plays a key role in the essential journeys people make every day. Whether this is for work, education or to deliver goods and services – Shell has been helping people on their journeys for over a century.
Looking boldly into the future, Shell is continually innovating and collaborating to respond to the changing mobility landscape, to anticipate the evolving needs of their customers, and to offer more and cleaner energy solutions in line with their net-zero ambitions, both now and in the future.
With over 500,000 front-line employees operating 46,000 retail sites in mor than 80 countries, Shell is the number one mobility retailer in the world, serving 32 million customers per day. To meet the needs of these customers, they are continually evolving, offering the fuels, lubricants, car care, convenience retail products and services they need to make the most of their journeys. This includes Shell V-Power, a fuel that contains 99% of the same types of compounds found in the Shell V-Power race fuel developed through the innovation partnership between Shell and Ferrari and used by Scuderia Ferrari in every race.
The partnership between Shell and Ferrari is one of Shell’s longest and most successful business relationships and has been renewed in 2021. Shell will be working to further develop advanced sustainable biofuels and synthetic liquid fuels, both which have the potential to significantly reduce emissions. Shell will also be working with the team to minimise their impact off the track, including the use of second-generation biofuels for logistics and track support facilities, as well as the offsetting of carbon-producing activities that cannot yet be reduced or avoided. Shell will not only continue together with Scuderia Ferrari to aim for success on the track through effective product development, but also, developing and implementing solutions that will support in reducing the team’s carbon footprint, helping them to achieve their broader sustainability targets.
