FROM MARANELLO TO MODENA, A GREAT CELEBRATION OF SPORT IN MEMORY OF THE FOUNDER

Maranello, 10 September 2024 – For the first time in its history, Ferrari will open up the central avenue of its Maranello factory and the Fiorano track for the Enzo Ferrari Memorial Half Marathon of Italy, to be held 30 March 2025. Iconic Ferrari areas, usually inaccessible to the public, will be the setting for this sporting event in which Ferrari is a hosting partner. The event was announced today at the Fiorano circuit in a presentation with Benedetto Vigna, Ferrari CEO, and Antonio Santa Maria, General Manager of Master Group Sport, the organiser of this first edition of the event. Also present were the representatives of the local authorities that have granted their patronage: the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipalities of Modena, Maranello, Fiorano and Formigine. Special guests at today's meeting were two exceptional marathon competitors: Rita Cuccuru, Italian duathlon, triathlon and aquathlon champion and winner of the Paris 2024 marathon, and Yemaneberhan Crippa, European Rome 2024 half-marathon gold medalist.

‘Run the Race Track’ is the message behind this event dedicated to all Prancing Horse fans and enthusiasts. It is an ideal union, bringing together the running and racing worlds. The race will start at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, cross the factory avenues and the Fiorano Circuit to continue to Formigine, finishing in Modena’s Piazza Roma.

In addition to the traditional 21.0975 km distance for top runners, there will be races on 5 and 10 km circuits to give everyone the opportunity to compete, even beginners.

Ferrari's support for the event confirms its ongoing commitment to give back to its local community. The entire proceeds from registrations and partnerships will go towards the construction of a new multi-sport field. The project will be part of the Parco dello Sport complex, built in Maranello with Ferrari’s contribution. This is an area that has already seen the inauguration of the Ferrari Woods in 2022, an urban forestation project supported by the company itself.

For the first time in our history, Ferrari's iconic locations will host a unique sporting event where everyone will be able to experience passion and get involved. Sport is an extraordinary means of putting people's wellbeing at the forefront and restoring value to this region – a place we have always been linked to,’ said Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna. ‘The Enzo Ferrari Memorial Half Marathon of Italy is a new way to celebrate Ferrari's DNA of performance, innovation and shared passion. It demonstrates Ferrari’s will to progress, honouring the memory of our founder and the legacy he left us.’
