The long history of what is now the top US Endurance Championship arose from the merger of the American Le Mans Series and the Sport Car Series. So, while the new name was officially adopted in 2014, if we include its predecessors, this series has completed over fifty editions.
Traditionally, the Endurance Championship kicks off at the end of January with one of its most prestigious and iconic races, the 24 Hours of Daytona, and ends with the Petit Le Mans.
