In 2021, the driver from Varese starred not only in the FIA WEC but also in the European Le Mans Series - with two wins and as many podiums - and in several rounds of the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, with a second place in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in the Pro-Am class. In 2022, he will start in the LMP2 class in the FIA WEC with a prototype fielded by AF Corse that he will share with Nielsen and Perrodo.
In his first season as an official Ferrari driver, Alessio Rovera won the World Endurance title in the LMP2 Pro-Am class with Nielsen and Perrodo. The Italian, involved in some IMSA races and the GT WC Europe, played a significant role in developing the 296 GT3 and the 499P.
In 2023 triumphs in the FIA WEC with the 488 GTE at Spa-Francorchamps and in the GT World Challenge Europe – Endurance Cup with the 296 GT3 newcomer at the final round in Barcelona, were the high points of Rovera’s second season as an official driver for the Maranello manufacturer.
