The third free practice session at Fuji Speedway International finished with the two 499Ps in sixth and eleventh position. The sixty minutes before qualifying offered a summary of all the weather experienced since the start of the Japanese weekend. Taking to the track on rain tyres, the 499P number 50 and 51 crews took turns at the wheel, switching to slicks as the road surface gradually drained. At the end of the session, Pier Guidi-Calado-Fuoco posted 1’30”798 after 34 laps, while the trio of Fuoco-Molina-Nielsen covered 25 laps, the fastest in 1’31”711. This session, the team’s work again focused on setting up the car, trying to optimise its handling without compromising tyre degradation.
