Ferrari wins Pit Stop Challenge at Le Mans

    Le Mans 12 giugno 2024

The Ferrari 499P number 51 of Ferrari – AF Corse won the third Pit Stop Challenge held yesterday at the Circuit de la Sarthe, the venue for the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The goal of the one-off competition was to make a pit stop in less than 10 seconds. The car driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi stopped the clock at 9.68 seconds, beating the number 7 and 8 Toyotas by 12 and 15 hundredths of a second, respectively.

This result reflects the Prancing Horse crews' constant training and hopefully augurs well for the race that kicks off on Saturday, 15 June, at 4 p.m. Free practice is scheduled today from 2 to 5 p.m. (first round) and from 10 p.m. to midnight (second round), punctuated by qualifying, starting at 7 p.m. and lasting one hour. The final free practice session will run on Thursday, 13 June, from 3 to 6 p.m. The Hyperpole (for the eight fastest cars in qualifying) takes place from 8 to 8:30 p.m., with the last free practice session held from 10 to 11 p.m.
