Relive the thrills of Le Mans with “The Red Line”

Maranello 02 July 2023

A victory 58 years in the making crowned an event destined to linger in the memory of many fans. Ferrari left the Circuit de La Sarthe with a win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, courtesy of the 499P number 51 crewed by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi. A perfect weekend was rounded off by the Hyperpole and the best race time of teammates Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, who finished fifth in the twin number 50 car.

The first Le Mans chapter of “The Red Line” series, available on the official “Ferrari” YouTube channel, chronicles the exploits of the Ferrari – AF Corse team in round four of the 2023 FIA WEC, watched by over 325,000 spectators in the stands.

The cameras tell the behind-the-scenes story of the endurance race, starting from the Test Day the weekend before the race, through to free practice, qualifying and the Hyperpole, of which the Maranello manufacturer’s Hypercars were the undisputed stars.

Multifaceted thrills on and off the track. The iconic and evocative backdrop includes the historic centre of the French town during the traditional parade in which the drivers processed past an enthusiastic crowd on the eve of the Centenary 24 Hours.

A second chapter of the series will be available soon, completing the Le Mans tale by focusing on all the stages of a race that began on the afternoon of Saturday, 10 June and finished 24 hours later when first under the chequered flag, Pier Guidi kicked off a big celebration.
